OUR BELIEFS

We believe solely in the Scripture of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired of God, inerrant in the original writings; and that these Scriptures are of supreme and final authority in faith and practice. (II Peter 1:21)

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - yet one in substance and equal in every divine perfection. (John 14:7-1226John 16:6Matthew 28:19)

We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true Man. (Matthew 1:18-20)

We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from God to convict the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; to regenerate fallen man; and to sanctify and comfort believers. (John 14:26John 15:26John 16:7-11)

We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with sinful natures, and when they reach moral responsibility, become accountable to God for their sins in thought, word and deed. (Romans 5:12) We believe, therefore, that those who accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord (Romans 10:9-10) shall be forever in God's presence, and that those who reject Christ as Savior will be forever separated from God. (Revelation 20:15)

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures (I Corinthians 15:3-4), as a representative sacrifice, and all who receive Him are justified on the ground of His shed blood. (I John 1:7)

We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Intercessor. (Matthew 28:5-6Mark 16:5-6Acts 1:9Hebrews 7:25-26)

We believe in "that blessed hope", the personal, visible, premillennial and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (I John 3:2-3I Thessalonians 4:14-17I Corinthians 15:51-53)

We believe that all who repent of sin and receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again, and thereby become sons of God. (John 1:12-13)

We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting conscious blessedness of the saved in heaven, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost in hell. (I Corinthians 15:42-44Luke 16:19-31)

We believe there are two church ordinances: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Baptism is the immersion of the believer in water, in obedience to our Lord's command, as a symbol of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, Who died for our sins and rose again for our justification.

We believe that everyone who receives the ordinance thereby professes faith in the merits of Christ's death as the basis for his own hope and salvation. This ordinance identifies the believer with Christ's sufferings, and becomes a declaration of his own death to sin and his rising to newness of life in Christ. (Romans 6:3-5) The Lord's Supper is the commemoration of the Lord's death until He comes, and demonstrates our continual fellowship with Him. Each believer should exercise careful self-examination before participating in this ordinance. (I Corinthians 11:23-32)
