WHO WE ARE
As a church family, we are striving to become the kind of church described in the Bible, where there is relevant teaching, heart-felt worship, honest friendships, constant prayer and compassionate care for those in need. We would like to have a contagious faith that will influence and encourage our entire community.
Our church doors are wide open to people of all backgrounds regardless of where they are on their spiritual journey. So, whether you are a spiritual seeker who is just starting to ask questions about God and faith, or a committed Christian who wants to sink the roots of your faith even deeper, you can find a home here at First Baptist.

As you get to know us, you'll find that we offer many kinds of ministries, but our "Three Big Priorities" are: 1) Sunday worship service; 2) Serving; and 3) Community Groups. If you only have time for a few things, we think these are the most important to helping you grow spiritually.
We are a Baptist Church, independent of a conference. We want to welcome you where you are, and will walk with you where God takes you. Our congregation has a good mixture of ages and interests with the same goal of knowing God and making Him known.

WE ENVISION
We envision First Baptist as a church with members who love to learn, and are learning about the Bible; who live by what
they learn; who are able and willing to teach what they have learned; a church that is the Bible teaching and learning
center for Spencer.
We envision First Baptist as a missionary sending and missionary supporting church; a church that challenges its members to become missionaries; a church that provides mission experiences for its members; a church that engages in mission work both globally and locally.
We envision First Baptist as a place where; people practice, learn and teach wise financial stewardship and generous giving.
We envision First Baptist as a church that is true to the teachings of Scripture - biblically correct, but not necessarily
politically correct.
We envision First Baptist as a church that is a safe place for children and youth, where children and youth learn what it means to be a follower of Jesus by precept and example through teaching and personal mentoring; a church where children and youth are loved and cared for; a church that reaches out to minister to children and youth in the community.
We envision First Baptist as a church where members support one another, the ministries of the church, and the community with persevering prayer.
We envision First Baptist as a fellowship of Christians who are maturing in Christ and are experiencing accountability and encouragement in the context of deep personal relationships and replicating small groups.
